Patrick has taught piano since 1983. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in
Music Theory/ Composition, with post graduate work in jazz performance.

Patrick founded and co-directed 3 Muses School of Fine Arts in Austin, TX where he maintained a studio of fifty-five students.

He presently teaches in his studio in East Asheville overlooking the Swannanoa River. His students include beginning children and adults, advanced students, students of jazz (teenagers and adults), and those interested in composition.

Patrick's methods are honed over years of experience and include a classical approach to technique with an emphasis on creativity. A clear understanding of theory is core to his teaching. Lessons are fun and relatively stress-free. He uses computer technology when appropriate.
